Artist's Description

The warmth of the Basilica de San Francesco and the Rocca Maggiore contrast with the cool colors of the sky and other buildings at dusk in Assisi, Italy. "Pax et Bonum" (Peace and Goodness) is the traditional Franciscan greeting and the spirit of St. Francis (1182 - 1226) is still tangible even today throughout the town.

My photographic images are primarily landscapes and cityscapes, the natural and the anthropological environments that surround us. Photography is, literally, “light writing” and I attempt through my images to write “stories in light” that reveal the non-tangible. Light itself is both matter and spirit, particle and wave.
